New substructures and a roadmap towards the future

It's been full steam ahead for the new leadership board and after their three-day meeting last week the board has worked together as a group on how to reconfigure the organisation to make it fit for the future.

We'll all be working in new ways and things will look and feel different. The main result that came out of the first sessions is that the board has agreed the new substructures, the way services and layers below senior management are organised, to ensure that we have teams/individuals in the right place.

The new substructures are now being put into place, however, there may be some further changes in future as we work towards a longer-term overall structure.

This means that some services will move straight away, while others will change in time. Find out more about your service area.

There'll also be a 'roadmap' of how we need to right-size the organisation over the next 12 months, identifying key activities that we need to undertake. The details will be shared as soon as possible.

This will give you an early indication of our plans as we continue to be modern, efficient and sustainable - a healthy organisation for the future and the council we need to be.
